And like any good Zelda game, revisiting areas with new powers will allow extra paths to be opened up, so there is a small element of Metroidvania in the mix as well. I can’t actually imagine Okami now with a realistic look to the world, as the way the graphics were stylised has become synonymous with the game in my mind. Possibly my least favourite game ever made.Apparently, Okami was first set to use realistic graphics, but it was more than the PS2’s aging graphic engine could cope with, and so the cel-shaded design was utilised to reduce the overheads, leading to better running. Sitting through 5 hours of Hatsune Miku, mixed up with a bit of Hello Kitty and a bit of Hannah Montana thrown in for good measure would have been 5 hours better spent than this.
I gave it a 1 for looking nice but there was nothing else to like for me to rate it higher. Then the brush that doesn't work very well at all I can't understand the high scores.
